Mekdella construction is a company owned by Gafat Endowment established in 2008 and is mainly engaging in the construction of bridge, road and building projects in the region and national level. When the company was established, it was mainly focused on as a machinery rental company, but later on it has begun to engage in the construction sector and turn out to be a famous contractor especially in bridge construction projects in the region.

Since, the direction is taken to strengthen the company with machinery and vehicles; it has been possible to upturn its capacity and enable it to participate in many government and private construction projects.  From the time when the company was involved in the construction sector, it has been able to achieving its mission by constructing  11 bridges, 41 buildings and 30.72 Km road. Most of these projects are accomplished ahead of the contract period.

As mentioned above, when the company was established, it has been mainly focused on machinery rental services, but in order to sustain the company’s existence and to make its contribution meaningful in the region and national level, it has been brought into the construction sector. Therefore, an emphasis has been given on key activities to upturn the company’s staffs, operations, organizational structure and resource capacity.
